The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is expected to announce the results of the Matric and Intermediate board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 in 2024 very soon. As students, parents, and educators await these critical results, there is much anticipation around the performance of the students.

Checking UP Board Results

Once the UP Board results for Classes 10 and 12 are declared, students can access their results on the official UPMSP websites:

  • result.upmsp.edu.in

To check the results, students will require their admit card to access their results online. This includes entering details such as roll number and date of birth.

Trends and Predictions

The past two years’ trends suggest that girls may outperform boys in the UP Board results for 2024, consistent with previous results. In 2023, the passing percentage for boys in Class 10 was 86.64%, while for girls it was 93.34%. In Class 12, the passing percentage for boys was 69.34%, and for girls, it was 83%. It will be interesting to see if these trends continue this year.

UPMSP Evaluation Process

The evaluation of answer sheets for the UP Board exams began on March 16 and concluded ahead of schedule on March 30. The UPMSP appointed 1,47,097 examiners for this task, ensuring a smooth evaluation process.

UP Board Compartment Exams

For students who may not pass the main exams, the UP Board will conduct compartment exams in July 2024, with results expected to be declared in August. Class 10 compartment exams will take place in the morning shift from 8 am to 11:15 am, while Class 12 compartment exams will occur in the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

Previous Toppers and Results

In previous years, the top performers in UPMSP results include students such as Shubh Chapra from Mahoba, who secured first place with 97.80%, and Saurabh Gangwar from Pilibhit and Anamika from Etawah, who both scored 97.20% marks. In Class 12, Priyanshi Soni from Sitapur secured the top spot with 98.33% marks, followed by Kushagra Pandey from Kanpur Dehat and Mishkat Noor from Ayodhya with 97.83% marks.

Student Registrations and Absenteeism

Over 55 lakh students registered for the UP Board exams this year. However, there was significant absenteeism, with around 3,24,008 candidates not taking the exams, including 1,84,986 in high school and 1,39,022 in intermediate.
