He acknowledged the efforts of the Astro Turf Demand Committee and expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Pu Lal Thanhawla for the state government’s support. Technical and Structural Enhancements

Pu John Tanpuia, MCS, Secretary of the Mizoram State Sports Council, presented a detailed technical report on the renovations. The project, awarded to M/S Decor India, GS Road Guwahati, involved laying artificial turf over an area of 105×64 meters, with the play area spanning 100×60 meters. The pavilion, measuring 18×4.5 meters over two floors, complements the field’s enhancements. Significant site development work included extending the RCC structure slab and expanding the retaining wall by 9 meters. The well-constructed PVC-coated chain link fencing, alongside a gallery extending 16 meters in two parts, ensures effective drainage and prevents water from entering the field.

Cultural Celebrations and Acknowledgments

Following the speeches, the Zotlang Cultural Club, Kawnpui, performed a traditional dance, adding a touch of cultural heritage to the event. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pu C Lalremsanga, Joint Director of the Sports and Youth Services Department. The Sports Minister, accompanied by Deputy Speakers Pu Lalfamkima and Pu K Laldawngliana, MLAs, Pu Jeje Lalpekhlua, and various sports department officials, MFA leaders, community, and NGO leaders, expressed their appreciation for the support and enthusiasm shown by all attendees.
